To attack the magnitude of the problem of child abuse in the U.S., it is critical that every adult we can reach be made aware and forced to acknowledge the scope of this problem. A key to child abuse prevention is to educate the public at large on the signs of abuse and what to do when they suspect a child is at risk. This is where our social media and digital efforts are most effective, but we also participate in local community events whenever possible.
Children who have suffered any form of child abuse, whether it be physical, emotional, or sexual abuse, are dealing with severe trauma. And the families involved are often torn apart. We try to help the child escape the darkness and find their light, and to assist caregivers with everyday needs.
We provide resources for parents to help them protect their kids at school, in the neighborhood and online. We also try to help church and civic groups by offering free speakers for their events, and aid in youth groups seeking to ensure the children they are charged with are protected.
