Do You Have What It Takes To Become A Full Member Of Bikers C.A.R.E.?

Being a full member of Bikers C.A.R.E. isn't for everyone and we don't take just anyone. If you want to wear the Bikers C.A.R.E. patch, you will have to earn it and show that your heart is focused on making our mission happen.

Currently, we are accepting membership applications for riders who live in or near the counties that make up the 5th Judicial Circuit (Marion, Citrus, Hernando, Lake and Sumter) in west central Florida, as well as our home county of Pasco.

What does it take to become a member? Here's what you'll need to know before you apply.

What To Expect After Your Application Has Been Processed

Upon acceptance by Bikers C.A.R.E. and beginning with the first Chapter meeting afterward, the new Member will undergo a 30-day introductory period. During this time, he/she will need to complete the 30-day training assignments as designated by the Executive Board. Regardless of the official start date, the 30-day introductory period will not begin until the following meeting.

Upon successful completion of said 30-day period, and at the next available Chapter meeting, the new Member will be given Bikers C.A.R.E. insignia indicating his/her Membership (4” circular patch).

There is no cost to the new member for the insignia and are supplied with the understanding that the patches remain the property of Bikers C.A.R.E.and must be surrendered on demand of the Chapter officers or an Executive Board officer.

The next phase of Membership is a six-month probationary period. During this time, the new member will undergo additional training and be expected to participate in Chapter functions and learn about the organization's mission and programs. They are also expected to become familiar with general knowledge related to child abuse, the signs of abuse, what to do if the signs are noticed or a child comes to an adult for assistance, and what resources the local community offers for families in need. And, of course, the new member will be expected to be a child advocate at all times and act responsibly as a representative of Bikers C.A.R.E.

The new member will not have voting rights during this period.

After the six-month probationary period, those Chapter Members who have voting rights will vote on the granting of voting rights to the new Member. A 2/3rd majority vote of all existing Chapter Members with voting rights is required for the grant to be approved. A 10" circular backpatch recognizing full membership will be provided.
